About Desmotiva Dev

Desmotiva Dev was born from a real need: to bring a bit of humor and reality to developers' daily lives. In a world where we're constantly bombarded with stories of instant success, billion-dollar startups, and developers who learn 5 languages in a weekend, we needed something different.

Created by @deveprogramar, the project started as a way to share the common frustrations every developer faces: inexplicable bugs, impossible legacy code, endless meetings, and that colleague who always breaks the build on Friday at 6pm.

What started as a few funny phrases shared among friends quickly transformed into a community of developers who found comfort in knowing they're not alone in their daily struggles with code.

Our mission is simple: to provide a moment of lightness and identification for developers around the world. We believe humor is a powerful tool for dealing with the stress and pressures of a tech career.

We're not here to actually demotivate anyone - quite the opposite. We want to create a space where developers can laugh at the absurd situations we face, recognize that we all go through difficulties, and ultimately feel part of a community that understands.

Sometimes, the best motivation comes from recognizing we're all in the same struggle.
